2026 Western camp out
It’s that time of the year again to think about the Western campout us CRDs look forward to planing this ever year. Everyone welcome! Join us for the fun, food, and amazing company in the beautiful Wyoming mountains! Fishing hiking sight seeing and enjoying what Wyoming has to offer.
When: July 31st- August 2nd but come and stay as long as you want!
Location: Big horn mountains of Wyoming
Just outside of Big Horn Wy
Pin will he sent out to those coming!
Elevation is high in this area roughly 7500 ft so please be aware of personal limitations.
Travel: closest major airport is Billings Montana at just over 2 hour drive to camp site (SUV REQUIRED! LOW PROFILE CARS WILL NOT MAKE IT UP THE ROUGH MOUNTAIN ROAD!) We will have a plan set to get people up there is parking lots at the bottom of the mountain everyone will be able to get up just dont wanna risk tore up cars. We recommend if flying in try and meet with other members and help split cost on rentals ect.
Activities: there is lots of very cool area in these mountains with a ton of fishing for trout and a few other spices!
Non resident fishing license cost are
DAILY FEE of $14
ANNUAL $102
unfortunately hunting is very wound down
with only predator hunting this time of year but fishing is very active. Or if you plan to hunt Wyoming in upcoming years may be a good opportunity to scout or learn the area.
