This is the second day for the year that this field is open to the general hunting public (the other day is September 1, opening day).
This is going to be on a WMA in tennessee, so a 7-day small game hunting license ($61 Non-resident) or a statewide fishing license ($33) and a 1 day small game and waterfowl WMA fee ($12) will be needed for this hunt. There is a special rule for this hunt where the use of lead shot is prohibited, so you can only use non toxic shot as if you were hunting waterfowl (steel, bismuth, tungsten).
There are typically not as many people on this field during this hunt, so this is a prime opportunity to try out your favorite new tactics to lure these wary birds into range.
