Join us for a relaxed, family-friendly camping and fishing weekend at a quiet campground located right on the French Broad River. This is a place my family visits every summer, and it’s the perfect setting to unplug, fish, and connect with other Cervicide members.
The river offers excellent trout fishing and smallmouth bass opportunities, with even more great fishing options within 30 minutes in any direction. Just down the road you’ll find a fly and trout fishing shop, kayak rentals, and guided fishing services. The campground also features a short hiking trail that leads to a productive fishing spot and a swim hole that’s great for kids and adults alike.
I’ve reserved four waterfront campsites (Sites 7, 8, 9, and 10). These sites include electricity and water, and there’s a playground located on each end of the campsite area. Each site allows up to four adults plus children, and I believe each site can accommodate up to two tents.
The campground also offers RV hookups and primitive tent sites without electricity. If you’re interested in those options, you’ll need to contact the campground directly to reserve.
My wife and I will be staying on one of the sites with our three kids, and there’s room on that site for another family if needed.

This is a family-friendly Fish Link, and we’d love to make it a safe, fun weekend focused on building connections within the Cervicide community. This is my first real attempt at bringing members together in person, so please let me know if you plan to attend — I may need to reserve additional campsites depending on interest.
