Hey Cervicide family, if you’re looking for an opportunity to hunt an antelope, here is your chance. Here in Montana, we offer some of the best antelope hunting in the west. The 900-20 archery antelope permit is a 19% draw but still it a 50% chance to draw on the random portion of the draw. June 1st is the deadline for applications but try not to wait until the last minute, the season starts Aug 15th and ends on Nov 12th. I highly recommend planning for a mid-September hunt for this as the rut will be in full swing and believe it or not antelope are just like elk you can call them in and my favorite way to hunt them is decoy them in. This hunt will be an all-day hunt so expect days in the high 90s but be prepared for winter weather as well, it has snowed as early as September 4th in the past. I would recommend a minimum of 4 days for this hunt. We can dry camp it in tents or we can stay in town every night. Required items for this hunt is good optics, good boots and plenty of quality camo. Ranges to harvesting these fast-food creatures can vary from 20 yard to 80 yards if your comfortable shooting at long distances. The other additional items you might want to bring is a shotgun as we offer some of the best upland bird hunting in the state sharp-tail grouse, sage grouse, and Hungarian partridge and doves.
